How FaultyPacket works

This section describes FaultyPacket's own approach. It is not a description of Valimail.

Scans run in your browser

The free scanner looks up your DNS records through public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers, straight from your browser. There is no sign-up.

No scan data held

FaultyPacket does not log or store the domains you scan (see our privacy notice). Optional scan history stays in your own browser.

One-off packs

Fix scripts, policies and server configs come as one-off downloadable packs, sold individually, with no account to create.

Local RUA Workbench

The Local RUA Workbench reads DMARC aggregate reports on your own machine: one offline HTML file and a Python tool. Nothing is uploaded.

DMARC aggregate (RUA) reports are sent to the address in the rua= tag of your DMARC record. If you prefer to read the reports yourself, you can point that address at a mailbox you manage and open the files on your own machine with the Local RUA Workbench. Our guide on reading a DMARC aggregate report explains the format.
