How to Protect a Domain That Doesn't Send Email (Null SPF, Null MX, DMARC Reject)
The short answer (what's causing it)
Parked or brand domains with no email records can still appear in a spoofed From: address. Explicit "no mail" records tell receivers to reject anything claiming to be from them.
Step-by-step fix
- Publish SPF
v=spf1 -all. - Publish a null MX (RFC 7505) if the domain receives no mail.
- Publish DMARC
p=reject. - Optionally add an empty DKIM wildcard revocation.
- Scan free to verify.
Record examples (replace example.co.uk with your domain)
parked.co.uk. TXT "v=spf1 -all"
parked.co.uk. MX 0 .
_dmarc.parked.co.uk. TXT "v=DMARC1; p=reject; sp=reject; adkim=s; aspf=s"
Examples are illustrative templates, not values for your domain. Test changes at
p=none/ staging first.
