One-Click Unsubscribe: How to Add List-Unsubscribe-Post (RFC 8058)
The short answer (what's causing it)
Gmail and Yahoo expect marketing mail to support one-click unsubscribe. That needs both a List-Unsubscribe header with an HTTPS URL and List-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click, covered by the DKIM signature.
Step-by-step fix
- Enable the option in your email platform, or add both headers yourself.
- Make the HTTPS endpoint accept a POST and unsubscribe without a login page.
- Ensure DKIM signs both headers.
- Honour requests promptly (Google cites within 2 days).
